While face-to-face meetings have been off the agenda for obvious reasons, MarQuip has made the most of the virtual options to stay in close contact with clients and our wider network. A good example was a webinar which we organised together with a number of other specialist companies on the subject of the latest adaptions to IMO Tier III regulations.
“These new rules on nitrogen oxide emissions for large new yachts sailing in northern Europe and US waters come into force at the start of 2021 so the need to be up to speed is clear,” says general manager for operations Jeroen van der Matten, who represented MarQuip on the panel of experts. “While much of the world has come to a standstill the march of time continues and developments like the implementation of IMO Tier III come ever closer. We teamed up with four other key players in this area to host this webinar which covered naval architecture, SCR technology, system integration and end-users.”
In addition to Jeroen, the other members of the panel answering questions submitted by members of the public were Julian Smith (Cayman Registry), Romain Guilbaud (Fraser Yachts), Hans Maarten Bais (DIANA Yacht Design) and Dennis Bravenboer (Hug Engineering). Watch a rerun of webinar here.
