MarQuip has joined the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA), the world’s largest organisation of its kind. We will be attending our first IYBA event during the Monaco show, taking part in the Breakfast Meeting on Friday 27 September from 08.30 to 10.30.
With 1450 individual members from 400 businesses worldwide, IYBA aims to encourage professionalism, cooperation and high standards among its members. It applies a code of ethics for the benefit of clients, and co-organises the annual Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami.
Joining the IYBA will help us work with brokers to solve client problems, for example by providing short and direct lines of communication with a yacht’s Chief Engineer. The new emissions regulations in terms of noise and soot have led to a sharp rise in requests for our expertise in these areas for both current superyachts and new builds. Moreover, our membership of the IYBA will facilitate the MarQuip team as we become increasingly active in the North American market, including our attendance at events such as FLIBS and the Refit Fort Lauderdale show.
MarQuip looks forward to working together with the association and its members for mutual benefit and to support our clients. For more information about IYBA, check out https://iyba.yachts.
